Smoovie Healthcare

Initially developed for the hotel sector, the Smoovie remote has quickly become established as a favourite product amongst some hospitals as the method of controlling access to television channels and for infection control. Each Smoovie controls the TV and can be sold or given to the patient at the beginning of their stay. They can then take it home as it will work a normal Philips TV when they return home. Clearly, this is a great benefit in terms of infection control as well as a way for the hospital to generate revenues from television. The Smoovie Healthcare remote comes in 2 day, 3 day, 5 day and 7 day versions and can either be sold at the hospital shop or via vending machines. There is a ring at the base enabling it to be connected to a elasticated key ring (Ski-pass type), to ensure it is within easy reach of the patient and does not get lost under bedclothes. Smoovie can be used with just the normal channels OR with pay movie content.
